Hi, I am Eugenie. In France, hot chocolate, is popular breakfast hot drink along with coffee and tea. Today I am going to make chocolat chaud with dark chocolate.
Hot Chocolate Recipe
Le Chocolat Chaud Maison
For 2 persons
- 2 cups whole milk (480ml)
- 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (55g) (cocoa 35%++)
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, optional
- Whipped cream, chocolate shavings, ground cinnamon, to serve
In a sauce pan, pour the milk. And heat to lukewarm over medium heat.
Then add chopped chocolate. Today I used Nestle chocolat noir. It’s over 52 percent cacao, cocoa. And granulated sugar, and heavy cream.
And slowly whisk until chocolate is melt and milk is frothy.
I love whipped cream, two spoons; chocolate shavings, and ground cinnamon on top.
Chocolat chaud maison, homemade hot chocolate. It was easy, wasn’t it? Hm..
