Hi everyone, So many people want to start a food blog and asked me about this, so today I want to talk about how to start a food blog. I started my food blog in 2012 along with a YouTube channel. I have management degrees but I never learned professional photography and film. I’ve self-taught myself a great deal about everything. Blogger is a full-time job, yet it’s rather funny because some people still ask me what my profession is. They think blogging is just a hobby, not a job. So I will also try to explain a little about how to monetize a food blog and a YouTube channel in near future.
Alright, now here goes how to start a food blog. Very simple actually.

How to Start a Food Blog – Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Be passionate about food.
I have professional training but you really don’t need any; you will meet many other amateur bloggers who are sensationally successful.
Step 2: Get a domain.
You can get it for free with a BlueHosting hosting plan. It’s very important to have your own address. But remember any free service providing company (e.g. Blogger, YouTube, Tumblr) can terminate your account anytime on the basis of terms of service you don’t even know. So be sure to have your own domain address.
Step 3: Find a right hosting company.
A domain name needs a hosting provider. So find a reliable and affordable hosting company. I recommend BlueHosting ($3.49 per month and up) if you are new to WordPress.
Step 4: Install WordPress.
Install WordPress for free. You can also find WordPress on the app store for your iPhone and iPad. And WordPress has its own support page. You can learn how to use WordPress. On top of WordPress I also use both Genesis Framework and Daily Dish Pro Theme (child theme) for this blog.
Step 5: Start blogging.
Now it’s the time! Cook, take photos, and share your passion about food online. Be creative and original.
Welcome to a wonderful world of food blogging. Good luck!
