How To Slice Bread – Pont-Neuf, Diagonal, Straight, Rectangular

First when cutting bread, it’s good to use a serrated knife. This is cutting baguette straight. Like this. It’s good for crostini. And this is diagonal cut. I made bruschetta with this (diagonal cut).

And with sandwich bread, this is straight or rectangular cut and this is diagonal cut. And you can make pont-neuf with sandwich bread, too. Pont-neuf means new bridge and it’s in Paris. Traditionally pont-neuf is made with potatoes in France.

Voila, That’s it for today. And see you soon, bye!

P.S. Pont-neuf (term) is a technique, which should be learned but I will not present French food and technique in near future.
