You want to make a recipe which requires white cake mix but it’s not in your pantry just now? Don’t worry. You can make it with a few basic ingredients at home.

 

Easy homemade white cake mix

Ingredients

    • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted (or cake flour, if you prefer more delicate texture.)
    • 2 cups caster sugar
    • 1/2 cup dried milk
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • pinch of salt

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and whisk until blended.

  1. Hey Eugenie! Do you just add your basic 3 egg whites, 1/3 cup oil, and 1-1/4 cup water to this? I am always on the lookout for a really good white cake. Recipes for white cakes always seem to be too dry or too bland when I have tried them-any suggestions? I love this idea of the mix as there are occasions I need a white cake mix and would rather make my own but I am also not sure of a standout white cake. Thanks so much!!!!
