Hi, I am Eugenie. This week’s last video is espresso. I am making my espresso with my macchinetta, piccolo macchina, small machine. Today I am using Bialetti Moka express for 2 people. This is the look of Bialetti. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? To me, it looks like Italian Futuristic design with Guggenheim Bilbao material.
How to Make Coffee with Espresso Stovetop Maker Bialetti Moka Express
Yield 2 servings
Ingredients
- 2.5 tablespoons coffee beans (espresso blend)
- 3 oz drinking water
Directions
First, ground your coffee beans. For two people, you need a little less than 3 tablespoons. And today I am using espresso blend.
And fill the water up to the steam release valve because in emergency you need to release the steam before taking it apart for safety reason.
And cover with the funnel filter and fill in with espresso grounds. Just smooth it out without tamping because the steam should be able to go through the coffee grounds, so it shouldn’t be too dense.
And screw on the top chamber or serving chamber. And put it over the stovetop and boil the water with enough heat to cover the bottom. The coffee will come out of this central column. I wanna say I bought this last time I visited Torino but actually I bought it in Paris, at BHV. It was on sale. As you see here, the water in the bottom chamber moved to the top chamber passing through the coffee ground layer
See? When you hear the macchinetta gurgling, remove it from the heat and let it sit for 30 seconds.
And pour in an espresso tasse, and stir and serve.
It’s beautiful Italian invention, isn’t it?
Prego. And this is yesterday’s a no-bake chocolate cookie and these are savory bites. Now it’s time for espresso.
Today it was espresso, and get my next week’s schedule at Facebook or Instagram. Thank you for watching. Alla prossima, bye for now.
