Healthy and simple French vinaigrette for salads. I have green salad everyday with simple dressings such as today’s French salad sauce. The simplest dressing can be made with vegetable oil, vinegar of your choice and salt and pepper to taste.
Basic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing Recipe
For basic dressing:
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar of your choice: red wine, white wine, or apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Additional ingredients for better taste and flavors:
- ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon of minced garlic
In a jar, add in vinegar, salt, pepper, minced garlic, dark brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and olive oil. Replace the lid and shake it vigorously until blended.
If you use only oil, vinegar and salt & pepper, then it’s basic French vinaigrette.
Serve with green salad of your choice. Enjoy.
