Fried Egg Hearts Snack

August 13, 2014

yt

Hi, I’m Eugenie. Today I’m making egg hearts, which is great for a snack and a side dish and perfect for special someone, special days, and picky children. The ingredients are pretty simple. You will need eggs, carrot, green part of spring onion, onion, milk, salt and pepper. Let’s get started!

How to Make Fried Egg Hearts Snack

For 2 servings

Ingredients

    • 3 eggs
    • 1 tablespoon milk
    • 1 tablespoon carrot, finely chopped
    • 1 tablespoon onion, finely chopped
    • 1 tablespoon Spring onion, finely chopped
    • Salt and freshly ground pepper for seasoning

Directions

First, separate 3 eggs. Today I’m using a water bottle. Squeeze the bottle and place on an egg yolk. And release the bottle to suck up the egg yolk. And transfer to another cup. It’s neat, isn’t it?

Now add 2 teaspoons of finely chopped onion into the egg whites and 1 teaspoon of onion into the egg yolks. Then add 2 teaspoons of finely chopped spring onion into the whites and 1 teaspoon of spring onion into the yolks. Then add 2 teaspoons of finely chopped carrot into the whites and 1 teaspoon of carrot into the yolks. And season with salt and pepper. Don’t forget to add 2 teaspoons of milk into the yolks and 1 teaspoon of milk into the whites. And whisk until homogeneous. You will have to whisk rigorously especially for the egg whites.

Then lightly grease the pan. And over medium heat, cook the eggs. I will cook the egg yolk mixture first. When the egg is half done, roll up and pull it to the opposite side of the pan. And extend the egg by adding remaining egg yolk. Repeat until the yolks are all used. Then cook the egg white mixture. I’m using a small round non-stick frying pan today. When all the eggs are finished, transfer the egg roll onto a cutting board. It’s hot and too delicate now, so let cool for at least 5 minutes. And slice the roll. Then cut the egg slice diagonally. And flip a half a heart and combine to make a whole heart. Isn’t it adorable? This is a layered yellow heart.

And if you want a layered white heart, start frying with a third of the egg white mixture with the same method. Then cook the egg yolk mixture, and again finish with the egg white mixture.

Voila,

Little fried egg hearts.

Bon appetit.

These will make a simple and healthy snack or a side dish anytime for everyone.

Make those and make people happy.

Thank you so much for watching. I love you. See you soon. Bye.
