Nutella cake in mug is an individual cake which can be prepared in 5 minutes with microwave oven. Quick and easy. Mix, microwave and bon appetit. There were requests for more microwave recipes, so I tried one more mug cake. This time it’s Nutella.
Cake in Mug – Nutella Cake – 5-Minute Microwave Recipe
for a large mug
- 3 tablespoons Nutella
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (increase by 2 teaspoons if you want. Some people say this cake is less sweet to their liking.)
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
First, in a mug, add in an egg, milk, vegetable oil, and Nutella. Stir until combined. There are recipes without egg and I tried but without egg, the cake doesn’t hold.
Sift in flour. And sift in cocoa powder, as well. Sifting is important because I really don’t like flour and cocoa lumps in my cake. And add in sugar and baking powder. And stir until well mixed.
Now the batter should be pretty liquidy.
And microwave for 1 minute. The power of individual oven is different, so be careful. Then repeat microwaving for 10 seconds only until the cake is done.
And voila! Dust with confectioners’ sugar and serve. The total microwaving time was 2 minutes.
Look at this texture. Nobody can tell it’s microwaved.
It is quick and easy. Don’t you have an oven? Do you want just one delicious cake only for yourself? This is it.
Today it was a nutella recipe and tomorrow it’s hot drink. Get my weekly schedule at Facebook or Instagram. I am Eugenie. And it was Eugenie Kitchen. Thank you for watching. Bye for now.
