Korean Spicy Stir-fried Pork – Pork Bulgogi 돼지 불고기
Hi, it’s me. 🙂 And here goes the recipe. Korean spicy-sweet stir-fried porc is one of the most popular dishes in Korea. The ingredient which should be strictly Korean is only red pepper paste, which is easily found at an Asian grocery store. And it’s really a quick dish. If you have all the ingredients, it takes less than 20 minutes to make! After all it’s a stir-fry. Enjoy!
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 pound of porc belly, finely sliced strips (500 gram) (some people prefer pork leg)
1 spring of green onion
1 onion, medium size
1 garlic, minced
3 tablespoons of Korean red pepper paste
1 tablespoon of red pepper powder
2 tablespoons of brown sugar (or 2 tablespoons of corn syrup as you like)
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
2 tablespoons of white wine (or any cooking white alcohol)
And freshly grounded pepper
Finition (garnish/finishing touch):
Green leaves such as lettuce, optional but strongly recommended
Sesame seeds (brown & black), optional
Half a red pepper and half a green pepper, optional
Method
1. Mix all the ingredients very well except garnish.
2. Stir fry for 15 minutes on medium heat, stirring occassionally.
3. Garnish and serve with rice and leafy greens when it’s still hot. Enjoy you deserve it!
Notes
If you want it to be spicier, add one more tablespoon of Korean red pepper paste.
If you want more gravy to mix with rice, add a few tablespoons of water when stir-frying.
Porc itself has enough fat (lard), so you don’t have to use vegetable oil for frying.

This is one of my favorites, I use soju instead of the cooking wine and still comes out great. Thanks for all the great video’s.
